Dr. Federico Fusco is an Italian national, working as Assistant Professor of Law in the College of Law at PMU, KSA.

He received his Master degree in Law from University of Napoli Federico II, Italy, in 2010, a post-master specialization degree in EU Law from the same university in 2011, and a PhD. in Law and Economics from the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa and Florence, Italy, in 2015. He completed several specialization courses in international labor law and in fall 2021 he was awarded the best student prize of the Capri Campus specialization course in Forensic and Security.

Dr. Federico is a member of the Italian Bar Association, he works a lawyer and consultant since 2010 and he is partner of an Italian law firm.

Dr. Fusco has several years of experience in teaching, research and curriculum development at graduate and undergraduate levels. From 2017 to 2019, he has worked as a post doc in business law at the EQUIS accredited School of Economics and Management of Lund University, Sweden.

In his career, Dr. Fusco has thought law related subjects in numerous courses, from bachelor to master and post-master levels in Italian, Swedish and Saudi universities. He has also an excellent experience as a presenter in numerous international conferences.

His research interests include labour law, privacy law, comparative law, gig economy, AI and industrial relations. Dr. Fusco is the author of a wide number of scientific publications in refereed journals and international conference proceedings.

 Everything in the real world will be recreated in the virtual world, the metaverse….but, what are the legal, ethical, and political challenges of building virtual worlds and societies? This talk will give the audience a strong understanding of the possibilities of the metaverse, how virtual simulations of futures work and why NFTs and digital assets ownership matter. I will discuss best practices discovered so far and the many questions and challenges that remain.
